Love Out Loud for DeMarco Majors

From humble and tumultuous beginnings in Evansville, Indiana. to flying high as captain of the gold-medal winning San Francisco Rockdogs at the 2006 Chicago Gay Games, DeMarco Majors is the face of a new generation of young, gay, and increasingly out athletes.During the course of his remarkable athletic career, Majors played for teams in Australia, Brazil, Argentina and the American Basketball Association. The only professional basketball player to ever come out before retirement, Majors broke ground in dealing openly with prejudice and homophobia in the world of professional sports. He is now a spokesman for gay athletes, because of his personal experience, and in 2008 he was named one of Out Magazine's top 100 most influential gay men and women. Lately, Majors has been enjoying a successful career in acting and modeling, starring in the Logo series Shirts & Skins, walking the runway in New York's Fashion Week, and guest-starring on Law & Order. He has also appeared in Beyonce’s “Freakum Dress’” video and made his off-Broadway debut at the Actors Playhouse in a JL King production, titled RAW. More recently, Majors has also been directing music videos and fitness shows. His latest venture will see him as the host of his own talk show L.Y.T.E (Living Your Truth on Embrace).
