Lovin' Scott Herman Out Loud: One of the Good Guys

At the young age of fourteen, Scott applied for his first job at Gold's Gym in Methuen, Massachusetts. By the age of fifteen he was performing gym maintenance, running the front desk, and selling memberships. When Gold's Gym was relocated to a new 65,000 sq. ft. facility, Scott was promoted to a manager's position. At eighteen he became a personal trainer and has been training men and women from the ages of twelve to eighty-three ever since.
Before moving to Brooklyn to appear on The Real World, Scott not only managed the fitness department and sales department for "Answer Is Fitness" located in North Attleboro, MA, but he also developed and ran a highly successful DJ company called "Galaxy DJ's".

Scott's acting/modeling career really started to take off his senior year of college after he entered and won the Men's Health "Iron Abs" contest in November 2007. He then began making a series of personal appearances and began traveling to New York City for castings and other events, and the more he became acquainted with the city, the more his interest in becoming a professional actor grew. In December 2007, Scott sent his audition tape into The Real World: Brooklyn and was selected from a pool of approximately 50,000 to 70,000 applicants. He moved into the Real World house six months later and, now that filming is over, has decided to stay in Manhattan. He is excited to continue taking acting classes, go on auditions, and pursue his new career. Right in the middle of all that, Mr. Herman is coming down to New York City to participate in POZ’s Love Out Loud for AIDS Walk New York on May 12th. Scott will be on hand to greet his many well-deserved fans. They will find the real deal. Be sure to visit Scott on YouTube and his official site.

Handsome Is As Handsome Does: Matt Walton

Visit his official website. It's no surprise that many are drawn to him, because his handsome stature is really only indicative of a good man with a great heart who works very hard. This great heart has motivated him to be part of Love Out Loud on May 12th at Prohibition to greet his many fans who will be supporting POZ's effort for AIDS Walk New York.

The Doctor is in The House: Lovin' Eric Sheffer-Stevens

When he auditioned for the role of As The World Turn's sarcastic, gay neurosurgeon Dr. Reid Oliver, he knew he had the part in the bag. "This is very different from most things I do!" he says. "I really get that guy and as soon as I read it and before I auditioned for it, I knew exactly where he was coming from and what the tone was and loved it." Eric will be on hand to meet and greet the fans who are loving it for the fundraiser that keeps getting better and better.

If you want to view paradise
Simply look around and view it
Anything you want to, do it
Wanta change the world?
There's nothing
To it
Simply look around and view it
Anything you want to, do it
Wanta change the world?

Everybody Loves Ilene

It's that time again to make people aware that the largest AIDS fund-raising event in the world is going take place in the city that many people consider to be the capital of the world. New York can afford the opportunity not only for formidable events like the New York AIDS Walk but also to become friends with exceptional people, one of whom is the multi-talented Ilene Kristen (Grease,Ryan's Hope,One Life to Live) who is generous to a fault and was the first to volunteer her presence and musical talent for Love Out Loud the annual fund-raiser promoted by POZ magazine at Prohibition. This year it's taking place as usual on the Wednesday prior to the walk on May 13, 2009 from 5:30 to 9:00pm at Prohibition at 84th & Columbus. The idea, of course, is to get fans to come meet their favourite celebs and donate to the team effort. Ilene has been part of every event. The woman's generosity and kindness is without bounds. When Ilene becomes your friend, your life gets better.
Ilene's shows are full of reminiscences in which she relates to her audience as if they were in her living room. She herself says so. Nonetheless her music is sultry, smooth and funky at one and the same time. Still this smoothness wraps itself around complex and sensitive lyrics in her original material. "Hold on to the earth with your own two hands and never say goodbye" are the lyrics she wrote in response to The World Trade Center tragedy and the loss of her good friend Nancy Addison from Ryan's Hope. The song is the memorable and poignant, "Flesh and Blood."
She has lost many friends to AIDS and is very much impacted by the disease which has now ravaged the world for over twenty five years. It's no wonder that this vibrant, diminutive powerhouse is always eager to lend a hand, clearly one of the most generous spirits alive. To know her is to love her

Lovin' MarTina Vidmar

MarTina Vidmar’s voice is just only part of it. She is one of those people whose vitality and charisma keep you focused on what she is doing on stage. She is an integral part of the New York cabaret and theater scene. Her versions of familiar material will make you forget where they came from, because she makes them all hers. When she found out about our fundraiser she volunteered to help out in any way. It was easy to say yes to her, because she is just “one of those people.” She is everything that is good about the New York scene and she is definitely one of those people one wants around. Come out to see what this generous performer serves up at Prohibition on May 12th.
